Phone Question - Do you know what apple policy is regarding battery replacement under warranty? Do they specify a guaranteed battery capacity threshold they will replace the battery at?

They’ll replace it when it’s under 90% peak capacity, seems to be the rule
You can check yours in Settings - Battery - Battery Health

Its at 98% Just wondered as the warranty runs out in a couple of weeks.

The % is a bit misleading
Anything approaching 90% will feel bad to power users. Into the mid 80’s and most users will be getting very fed up.
I mentally consider 80-100% the full life of the battery for most users.

Meh. Just checked mine and its at 86%. It still feels fine to me.
I presume leaving it on my wireless charger at work all day is responsible.

Incidentally, my X is on 84% after 2 1/2 years and it’ll still happily do a days heavy use.

Mine’s on 85% and does fine.

I'm happy to be corrected here - but my understanding is that you should charge it between 10% and 90%, leaving it on charge at 100% stresses it out, leading to reduced life.
My old phone's battery was on its arse after 2 years because I used to plug it in overnight and leave it. With my new phone, I've made sure never to leave it on charge too long...I'll see if it lasts longer.

Or just stop worrying - use it all day & charge it all night, Replace phone when newer and interesting one comes out Every 2-4 years.

Phones manage that themselves these days

My iPhone XS is only about 8 months old and down to 97%. Do you think I should ask for a warranty replacement?

Ideally they should be replacing it with two new iPhone 11 Pro’s
