yup
77 is a bit too young. RIP.
I am not sure if it was one wafer-thin mint too many?

Ah - what a shame.
Some of you may know that Terry Jones wrote a book on Chaucer's 'The Knight's Tale' - his theory was that the whole thing was a contemporary satire, and that the 'gentil knight' was in fact a ruthless mercenary. We studied Chaucer at school for O-level (GCSE), and someone managed to persuade Terry to come and talk to us about his book.
I can't remember any of the details, partly because this was over 35 years ago but more because our class of teenage boys was awestruck at being in the same room as a Python. I do remember that Mr Jones was as funny and charming as you could have hoped.
RIP
Jonathan

Balls. A proper legend. Saw him once in a pub in Highgate.

Just bought Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl. We grew up on that, and haven't watched for ages.

RIP. A proper legend.
The footage of him and his son collecting his BAFTA is heartbreaking, isn’t it? Dementia can fuck right off.

A release for him more than anything else. Hope he did not suffer too much. A good legacy to leave behind though.

I saw this on BBC News At 10 and somehow had a golf ball stuck in my throat.
