Want to passenger at an MSA event?

I had a heads up from an old friend yesterday that you need a Motorsport UK licence even to passenger at a trials event from this year. But it’s free, so there’s no reason not to register (including as a driver, since it’s just a tick box):
“If you are an adult wanting to participate in any form of competition, trialling, road rallies, etc from this year (even as a passenger), you are supposed to have a RS Clubman licence (or higher) from MSUK.”
https://www.motorsportuk.org/get-starte ... n-licence/
I now have a racing licence on the way for the first time in my life

Cheers for that - took about 2 mins
Not sure what I will do next time I’m down at Superkarts though and they say “oi, no professionals”

Yep, they're a nice thing to get in the post, even if it's just a box ticking exercise. You've reminded me to use the lanyard on my work badge to show off my racing driver credentials. You also get a nice sticker.

I've signed up and I'm hoping to bounce up and down in the back of an old car with someone.

Not that I'd ever engage in Racing Licence class one-upmanship, but:
*Waits for Wilspeed to show up and trump me with his International B*

Yeah, but you say that to all the boys...
I must see about watching Mr Jumper and Mr Mad driving round in circles at some point.

Cheers - I spotted mine languishing in a drawer over Christmas and thought about renewing it.
It's easy to renew; click on the link in the first post. You do need to know your licence number which, so far as I can find, is only on the letter and licence itself, not in any e-mails. So dig out your unused licences and renew.

No physical licence sent this year, digital only, so at least you don't need to remember it if you go to any events.

Ah yes, I've just read the e-mail. That lanyard I got in the pack last year seems a bit pointless now; but keeping costs down when most people won't actually be using their licences in 2021 seems sensible.
