I thought from the thread title that it would contain the sort of conversations you need to have with elderly relatives explaining why they can’t use certain words anymore.

One thing that is boiling my piss though is that there seems to be an acronym for pretty much any group of people who need to band together in one way or another. In the last few days I’ve seen a few reviews where I’ve had to stop, google the term and come back, but the authors just assume we’ll know what incels are or why it’s bad that Dr Who is mean to “bames”. Just fucking explain an acronym the first time you use it please.

BAME is now offensive (apparently) as it groups together folks who, obviously, have their own individual identity, cultures etc.

They’re not just ‘different from us’ (tm) etc.
