Is there a way to make clickys open a new window?

I'm forever following a link from here, not realising it uses the original window then closing it and losing the forum.
Really annoying. Is it an easy fix, or am I going to have to remember to use the back button all the time?

JL is correct. Ctrl + left click on PC, CMD + left click on the Mac

But when every other site doesn’t require CTRL+click, it is no longer my habit. Same as David, I keep closing the tab rather than clicking back.

Links opening new tabs/windows automatically has been widely accepted to be bad form for at least the last 5 years or so hasn’t it?
