Another surprise to no one, the video of the Cyberthing beating the 911 wasn't quite the full story. It was 1/8 mile, not a quarter mile, as Musk claimed.

Which makes sense - the 911 would likely have reeled in and passed the Cyberwotsit if it was over the quarter. I imagine the drag of the towed vehicle would have seriously hindered things at the top end.

i was wondering about that! I saw that an unladen CT did 11 seconds qtr mile and I thought there was no way a 911 would be much slower when my car did it in 12 point something....

The carwow bloke was testing it on the Tesla test track 4 up and got something like 11.6 sec. Obviously bonkers for a big truck, but no way would it beat a properly launched 911 over a full 1/4 mile while towing another 911.

He did it again with a Urus and the Tesla spanked it. Interestingly they mentioned the Urus was better at launching but slower than the UK version; I’d guess no gpf ie no throttling of the airflow, and lower RON fuel as the respective reasons

Rear 3/4 looks great, the standard one looks really tall and thin and a bit weedy from the back. I’m sure people will be selling replacement plastic arches and wheel spacers soon enough…

It'll kill the range, that's the problem with EVs, they're so sensitive to every little change. Pretty much why Alpina sold off to BMW, no point making bodykits for EVs and getting more power out of them and I reckon it's why Brabus are going down the restomod route.

I know it’s a crap render but that lightbar which is cut into the 3mm thick bonnet isn’t going to be easy to install is it. Surprised they actually have stuff to ship next week seeing as they don’t even have a Cybertruck themselves yet or even the dimensions to design all the accessories for it

The bonnet is a replacement made of carbon fibre apparently
