i didn’t have many choices (Black, white & blue), but I went for Atlantic Blue. It’ll basically look like this:



I keep buying blue cars:

F31 Estoril blue,
e92 Silverstone II/blue (ok, barely blue!)
e46 carbon Black (really dark blue)
Fiesta ST Performance blue x2

No M3, but the GTI looks cool Rich.

I’m quite looking forward to it - the interior will be a huge step up from the very 2008 bmw one, even if it will be a step down in performance. I’ve driven a fair few golfs over the years but I’m going to try and properly get behind the wheel of one ASAP (I have a couple of weeks cooling off period to fill) just in case there’s any horrors.

Though to answer your question, if I had £30k to spend, I expect I’d be in an M2/F80 M3.

I think you’ll enjoy the Golf, it’ll be interesting to see if the M3 stays under your skin until you get chance to change again.

yeah, basically a full tank of SUL would last one week (c. 220 miles)

I think I must be doing worse - I get through a tank a month and it doesn't turn a wheel Mon-Fri
