There could be a legal point in this. I can’t find a solid definition of “home” but various descriptions do seem to focus on a home being the structure you live in.

My garden isn’t a structure. And as long as I don’t buy any more cars in the near future, I won’t be living the garden either.

MOT garages aren’t one of the essential services so how can you possibly have a road legal car once it expires within this lockdown period. Guess you’ll just have to drive a non legal car to the supermarket...

Well, for some vehicles MOTs are suspended for 3 months. It's possible the same will follow for cars.

Where are all these Police coming from that will be checking everyone is on essential journeys? BoJo and Co. sacked most of them by now?

And how are they even going to know what is legitimate? You could claim you’re visiting a relative to help, or going to a supermarket...
