It’s a fucking joke that they’re still investigating it 90 mins after the race. I’m going with other people and saying that if you’re giving a penalty it should be given before the drivers go up on the podium - if you really need hours to review it and have the drivers opinion then give them a penalty for the next race and don’t ruin the previous race...

No penalty, Max keeps his win.

The stewards were hardly busy, what a joke to get the decision after so long.

How long did it take for them to look at the Hamilton vs Rosberg thing on the same corner and remember that they did nothing about that and then apply the same rule? 5 minute search on YouTube?

This is what happens with tarmac run off areas, if this was a gravel trap I would have said 100% a Verstappen penalty, but as it’s tarmac and Leclerc was able to continue without damage and could have avoided contact with max by conceding and driving around the run off area I don’t see why a penalty is needed, nor why a cars width should apply, given there is still track, even if it is beyond “track limits”
Comparing this to the Vettel Hamilton incident is like comparing chalk and cheese- here he had somewhere to go that was asphalt, in that incident it was a wall

They didn’t even start to review it until 5pm (uk time), so it’s not like they even spent three hours arguing over it.

They waited to hear from the drivers and get their feedback. Prior to that the drivers were on the podium, in the pen etc.
Glad thy went with the decision they did, banning or penalising the sort of racing everyone wants would be really rather daft.

Have seen on a few pages that silverstone are supposed to be close to signing a new multi year deal with liberty media- apparently they’ve sorted the financial side, just the details to finalise, and are hoping to announce before Sunday’s race. On a side note, anyone going this year?

Oh good, wonder how many years into the 5 year contract they’ll go before moaning about the fees and how they always lose money despite milking the spectators as much as possible...

Vaguely F1 related; Rich Energy have 'parted ways' with Haas F1.
Twitter should be funny tonight at least.

F1 takes the ticket money from the gate, which is part of the problem.

Eh? Fuck that, the result is more than important than interviewing the winner, maybe, we haven’t quite decided yet, but we must get their reaction!
Any other level and it’s stewards before podium, podium is final.

Grosjean binned it before even getting out of the pit lane this morning
