Major telling off I hope and lockdown on main public spaces. Extra-strict rules in London.

NOT A LOCK DOWN. My car needs a service and MoT tomorrow, I don’t want to be 12 weeks without it. They can do what they like tomorrow though.

Swervin_Mervin wrote: Mon Mar 23, 2020 12:04 am Been reading about viral load earlier.

In summary, the more you limit your exposure the more you not only reduce the spread, but potentially also the severity.

Could you link the bits you've read please? I'm googling anyway.
Originally I'd read a supposed post from a consultant at Coventry:

"Remember this: VIRAL LOAD
<snip>

Ta. The Lancet article is what I read from googling. An easy enough concept to get your head around, like staying dry in the rain. I didn't mean to make you say the three words you just have, but if you get soaked to the skin it may well be.

Hmm, so you can go out for exercise still and parks are open. How will police enforce this.
Guess our cars no longer need to be road legal either which is sweet 😂

You knew it'd happen sooner or later, not that that makes it any the less bitter a pill to swallow.

Hopefully common sense will prevail - its a lockdown without using those words.

Parks still open but you can only go in groups up to 2. So 10,000 pairs in a park is fine.

So are you allowed out in your garden ? Is “leaving your home” literally the building, or the boundary of the property ?

Oh excellent, just remembered you can’t tax a car without MOT so that’s some money saved :lol:

No, you're misinterpreting. If you live with the people anyway you can go out in groups of more than 2. By limiting to 2 people it's effectively stopping more than 2 separates households from congregating.
