I’m constantly gutted that I don’t own a flatpackable vehicle

Being air portable, I see no downsides!!integrale_evo wrote: Sun Aug 23, 2020 5:58 pm I’m constantly gutted that I don’t own a flatpackable vehicle![]()
Genuinely surprised they don't use the same connector, you'd think that'd make more sense from a production line config standpointsimon_g wrote: Mon Aug 24, 2020 10:46 am Only a year since I picked this up, got around to fitting it in the Stepwgn. From plastic and no buttons to leather with buttons. Of course, the connector is different so I'll have to pull it all apart again at some point to figure out the wiring to the stereo.
Did the new wheel/connector make the whole dash light up like a Christmas tree?simon_g wrote: Mon Aug 24, 2020 10:46 am Only a year since I picked this up, got around to fitting it in the Stepwgn. Followed a guide for Civic, it was much the same. Disconnected battery for 5 mins before, then there’s a door on the back of the wheel with the airbag connector inside. Unplug and it’s safe.Ascender wrote: Mon Aug 24, 2020 1:14 pm Looks good!
Are airbags a pain to work with or is that a phallacy?
I see you've fitted a knee since the first photo too.Ascender wrote: Mon Aug 24, 2020 1:14 pmLooks good!simon_g wrote: Mon Aug 24, 2020 10:46 am Only a year since I picked this up, got around to fitting it in the Stepwgn. This. Although I always have a tinge of nervousness handling them.integrale_evo wrote: Mon Aug 24, 2020 1:18 pm Load of nonsense.
I’ve never seen an airbag system that’s active with the ignition off, so as long as you’re sensible they’re fine.
It appears to be a Knee-can-opener. Expensive.PaulJ wrote: Mon Aug 24, 2020 2:23 pmI see you've fitted a knee since the first photo too.Ascender wrote: Mon Aug 24, 2020 1:14 pmLooks good!simon_g wrote: Mon Aug 24, 2020 10:46 am Only a year since I picked this up, got around to fitting it in the Stepwgn. Very much this, replaced the clock spring in the navara and have replaced steering wheels in both combo and l200 and although you know they are not active its still squeaky but time when connecting and disconnectin them!Sundayjumper wrote: Mon Aug 24, 2020 2:27 pmThis.
