Only £499,500,000 to go.
And, of course, the basis of our Japanese agreement was the Japan-EU FTA.![]()
I am very negative about Brexit, but you also probably shouldn’t take me quite so literally all the time. I am, after all, looking to push people’s buttons quite a lot.evostick wrote: Fri Feb 08, 2019 8:33 amHe has been impressively negative though. Looking forward to your next party leader being a guy who's main skill is making shitty memes on youtube.
It's pissing down outside. It's this or housework for me
Is it positive that we can more easily ship meat halfway across the world? Fairly sure they've got both sheep and cows in Japan already.Swervin_Mervin wrote: Fri Feb 08, 2019 9:44 amI was simply citing a positive new story. That's all. Be fair, this is directly related to the thread title and not even Brexity discussion!

That'll be another negative of Brexit: the environmental cost of all the supposedly amazing trade we'll be doing with places much further away than we do now.
Shipping all of our plastic waste to China and India to be sorted through by the desperately poor - that’s fine though - cos environmental innit!evostick wrote: Fri Feb 08, 2019 12:06 pmDeskJockey wrote: Fri Feb 08, 2019 11:51 am

I've only ever voted Conservative once IIRC. That was for David Cameron on the off chance that we might get a referendum on our continued membership of the EU. To be fair, they did deliver that.

Sounds like planning for just the one outcome, much like the Brexit referendum. What if there isn't any upturn, whether or not due to Brexit (China recession hitting the world as a whole, for instance)?evostick wrote: Fri Feb 08, 2019 12:21 pm Particularly if the economy takes an upturn in comparison to eurozone fortunes prior to the next election.
They're fucked I reckon. In their current guise anyway. The best chance they have of getting any genuine mass support following the brexit they appear to be delivering, is to install somebody like Sajid Javid.Jobbo wrote: Fri Feb 08, 2019 12:38 pmSounds like planning for just the one outcome, much like the Brexit referendum.
