I always find the right response in these situations is to simply tell them to "calm down". Women respond well to that.

When are we leaving?

I’ll be ready soon

OK. Like how soon?

Jeez - you’re always trying to hurry me up

No. If you will be ready in 1 minute, I’ll go and get the car out. If you’ll be ready in 10mins I’ll go and get on with something elseā€

You’re such a control freak

Oh FFS

I’m leaving you mik. Bastard
So much this. 'We can't just go when you're ready - I've got lots of stuff to organise'... which is code for packing lots of unnecessary crap and changing outfit three times.

New pair of PS4s for the mighty mito.

Doesn’t seem that long ago I had the set changed, but was about 18k miles ago. I scrubbed the fronts pretty badly after fitting the coil overs and running it for a month or so before I adjusted the tracking, and stuck them on the back.

I always enjoy the way women break your stuff by not doing as you ask, then manage to twist it so they're pissed off with you because you're annoyed! šŸ˜‚
"Well I'm so busy doing fvcking everything else and cleaning up after you two is it any fvcking surprise?"

I still have to iron ny own shirts after telling her she wasn't quite doing the shoulders right, 20 fvcking years ago!

if your expectation is she should be ironing your shirts, she probably has a point!

I iron my own shirts as I expect them to be ironed better than she does them šŸ˜‚

I've not worn a work shirt since early Feb. At this rate they'll need a dusting, not ironing.

I've not worn a work shirt for about two years, because I have literally no respect for my employers, and given that they won't pay support for our core hardware, I'm entirely justified in this belief.

Forgot to say, I've sold the mx5 that I took in px so I'm now down to one vehicle and that's a van.

Didn't fancy it.

Apologies for potato dashcam and mic 😬
This is an odd bounce, but I've driven past this pub a few times now on the way home from work since I changed jobs and I knew I remembered this road/pub from somewhere.

Why can my brain remember this and make the association, yet I can't remember any of my passwords :?

I've barely even worn so much as jeans since early March. In fact, during the heat of early this week I had a rare call with a senior director (and other managers) on Teams and at the start of the call the senior director asked me to turn my camera on. I had to make him wait whilst I nipped to my bedroom to put a t-shirt on. Up till that point I was only wearing my 'comfy' shorts.

Aaaaand this is why metal valve caps are a bad idea. At 05:30 when you’re about to head off on holiday. Compounded by me scratching this wheel too while trying to get the cap off.

Replacement stems are easily available but it looks like it’s going to put up a fight. I think we’re rapidly heading towards a full wheel refurb.

Just wait quietly until she says ā€œI’m ready my darling mikā€, then go for a shite. Always goes down well and she’ll definitely see the funny side

290 miles, 24.7mpg according to the OBC.

That’s loaded up + roof box. Motorway with the cruise set at 70mph most of the time, a detour to Blackburn on the way, and maybe 20 miles of fiddly roads to finish off.

Nothing fell off or stopped working.

30.6 mpg from the Boxster on the run to, around and back from Scotland. Autoglass having a crack (possibly literally) at the stone chip on Tuesday.

Had to pop to Screwfix earlier to pick up some screws (what else?). Had to take a detour from the normal route due to bridge works and was on a fast tight country lane, following what I can only assume was a Ford Galaxy taxi. He suddenly slowed to a near stop to pull into a driveway and my car did a 'beep beep' before pulling up all by itself. Pretty impressive. I've had it do a 'beep beep' before when it thought we were about to have an accident, but never had it take over braking all by itself.

It's this system:

Part of the driver assistance pack I have...

My golf does this - I get a big red warning take over the dash and it brakes.

Don’t want.

I also don’t want brake assist thingies that decide to deploy 100% braking cos I have requested 90%. If I wanted 100% I’d squeeze a bit harder.....
