Hands up who had ‘pokemon fuckability tier list’ and ‘punishment gulag channel’ appearing in the same sentence on their 2025 bingo card ?

Always wonder with these. If you’re rich enough would you hire out your yacht? You wouldn’t put you Enzo on Turo would you? And on the flip side, if you’re rich enough to hire a yacht for 2.2 mil a week, surely you’d already have a yacht?
So is it just for tax mitigation purposes and pretending it’s a business? What are the chances someone actually can afford the rent and then mysteriously the yacht has a problem on the date you want it.
Just saw this https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/ ... uperyachts about Abramovich's yachts which reminded me of my question in response to Mik posting this ludicrous charter (and it was 1.75 million per week last year) https://www.yachtcharterfleet.com/yacht ... me=octopus
I'm not surprised, unlike the general tone of the Guardian article. I doubt billionaires like to share out their prized possessions and it's merely to appear as a commercial business to avoid taxes.

It seems so obvious now you mention it.
Set the weekly rental at such a ludicrous figure that nobody would ever pay it…..

That Pokemon list - I have no idea whether the ones at the top are supposed to be the hottest or the least hot. I guess that is a good thing.
Re. superyachts, it's pretty inevitable that they will be operating without paying tax. They can move from jurisdiction to jurisdiction at will, can be registered in a tax haven and can be owned by a nominee company in a tax haven. If any one country tried to tax them, they'd get no business from superyacht owners. I doubt this is in any way specific to Abramovich. I'd imagine the chartering thing is just to defray the heinous running costs a bit too. Frankly, if they were taxed normally in, say, the UK then the operating losses would be greater than any profit so I doubt there would be much tax due anyway.

When I try and play the videos on this thread that are from Facebook Watch in Firefox, they play for a second then go back to the start. They play fine in Chrome. I’m not running any Adblockers. Any ideas?
