We’re now back down to one dog again. Unfortunately Chief has had to go back to the dogs trust. Over the last couple of weeks he’d become possessive over, well just about anything- food, toys, dog bed, a piece of cardboard he’s stolen from the bin etc. He was then guarding these resources quite fiercely from Toby- we could go near them and take them from him but if Toby went near him Chief was snapping and growling etc, and after sending footage of this it was agreed with their behaviour team we were on the cusp of something big happening. Hopefully he’ll get a nice home where he’s the only dog, because in that situation he’ll be an absolute diamond

Loving vicariously though our neighbor's...

Had a bit of play with next doors Rottweiler. He's an awesome dog. Still a puppy but mahooosive. He never barks, is inquisitive but calm. My neighbour got him from the same breeder where his parents got their family dogs when he was a kid. So Dakota is the the same bloodline which I think is pretty cool.

My neighbour has to rush to Scotland today so I’m looking after this guy again for the weekend.
Poor thing is utterly distraught this time round which is odd as last time he was still pretty happy

Shelters etc. seem to have a lot of two year olds :(
I try to understand how things like this happen - maybe the person was very unwell - but it doesn't take long out in the world to feel that's clutching at straws.
I'm sure he'll find himself in a good home in no time.

Not really, he was calm and relaxed but just depressed. I took him out loads to keep his mind off things but he wasn't happy once back home.

Where do I hand in my man card?

And where do I purchase a shitty stick to beat away all the women who want to take a picture with him

Dog is at the age where he struggles to walk more than a mile so I’ve joined the wankers who put their dogs in a pram gang.

Whenever we see an older gent or lady on a mobility scooter whizzing round on the pavement I point it out to the wife and tell her how I can't wait to get one myself... Similar thing really.

Someone needs to make a mobility scooter with lithium batteries and a high power brushless motor
