I’ve put my textiles in the washing machine with the Nikwax stuff to rewaterproof them (currently on the wash bit). Let’s see if they a) don’t fall apart and b) keep the rain out.

350 kms on the BMW today - had to nip over to the East Coast to get my boat driving license, so I can, y'know, drive my boat and stuff. Anyway - box ticked.

Still don't think I've hit the rev limiter after WOT in third yet, let alone the lower gears - respect due to Tim to jumping on his BMW and engaging 60-100 mode

Owners of even really fast cars must wonder what the hell we're on about - it's most odd owning something you don't often extract the maximum go from.

Yep - exactly. The Audi is not a slug but gets driven flat out pretty much every time I get in it.

To put it into context, the BMW will lift its front wheel in 4th. FOURTH! Imagine getting wheelspin in a car if you open it up in 4th

Hmm, first wash wasn’t very impressive. The hi-viz parts of my jacket were still grubby looking so I’ve bunged it back in for a 2nd wash.

Been out on mine all afternoon again, short shifting and trying to keep revs under 6k still (ISH). Whilst it's clear this thing will be nippy it's the way I can attack corners that I'm loving, you can just dive in on the nose and instantly start feeding it throttle. It'll hold the line and just monster the corner. If you need to flip it over and repeat it's all too willing. You can keep your silly bhp, I don't need it

Went out Thursday morning on the bike and came back last night. Up through Wales, around and around the north bit and then across to spend the night in Chester.

Then up around the Lakes all day Friday before heading down to Blackpool for the night which was ...different.

Back to north wales on Saturday, making the most of the awesome weather and the relatively quiet roads. About 900 miles in total.

Best miles of the year for me. Absolutely glorious.

You could’ve met up with me and Barry in Chester, we’re just up the road.

Reading this makes me want to buy a bike again, albeit I only had a 125 last time, slight quirk of the old licence system is that even though I passed on a 125, now that more than two years have passed I can ride any bike I like.

Definitely up for a forum bike meat.
