Invested $2,950
Value $4,318.61

edited because I can't count to 5

I was trying to get back to the effective APR you would have needed to match that investment if you had invested $50/month in something normal.

About 15% (before considering the crypto fees which I have absolutely no clue about).

If I can find minute data for FTSE100 or something more normal, would be interesting to compare.

Here's the spreadsheet, feel free to take a copy.

It might be easier to point your Bitcoin calc at the 4pm price point or whatever time the LSE closes, it probably won't make a huge difference, and then use FTSE100 closing prices, they'll be much easier to get hold of.

You've missed December 2018 & July 2019 from the dates in column A :)

It's all wrong. No one sells Bitcoin because they know the pyramid will come crumbling down if they do, so the actual value now is £0.

good spot. It looks like my data source has a hole between 15th November and 7th December 2018, and on 1st July 2019 which is annoying.

Edit: I've filled it in now from another source - doesn't change a lot of note

£49.00 through crypto.com (turns out using the mobile app you can buy at 0% fee in GBP really easily). I'm down 59p currently. Will survive.

Should have waited for Broccers to tell you when to buy the dip, you’d be a millionaire.

including you by the sounds of it - otherwise you'd be telling us all the money you've made from buying crypto in these dips and selling when it rises.

Since it's payday I bought another £50 of BTC. Total investment is now £99 / 0.0070918 BTC.

I've had to tell Warren Buffet's secretary to stop calling me.

Purchasing fractions of a discrete thing seems fraught with risk to me, but hey - you can only lose £99. Provided you stop putting money into it now.
