According to the ad “ This particularly outrageous V8 UK factory built supercar was finished in 'raspberry fliptone “

But it looks so bad with the Marcos’s mix of curves and flat surfaces.

It might be what they call it, and there might be some flip to it, but most of it has been painted at different times. You'd expect the curved sides of the boot to pick up some of the purple, and you'd expect the vertical parts of the doors to have some purple like the vertical parts of the rear arches, but it just doesn't. The rear arches are purple from the vertical bits over the curve to the near horizontals.

Hard to tell what's going on, but from several photos at different angles the colour changes all seem to be in the same place instead of moving relative to the light source.

But also
Our car was already top spec being the motorshow launch Mantis car, but as a Marcos approved dealer I then used many of the quality trim modifications used on the GT to upgrade the aesthetics eg interior finish, rear boot and under spoiler - I also added the deep purple accents to the bodywork, vent grills and revised led rear lights - hence 'SE' (Special Equipment ) tag.
AKA I made it look fucking gopping.

You try and fit the entire drivetrain of a 4x4 above the floor and see how the packaging is ;)

I think it’s the engine that protrudes into part of the centre console, certainly beneath the dash
Image
Which makes the Humvee front mid engined

That centre console seems to extend to the back seats though, making it a 4 seater. But what’s in between the back seats :?

THe body drops down over the chassis, the seats are on the outside of the rails. The engine is pushed back to make room for the front diff. The rest of that is the gearbox, transfer box and driveshaft to the back.

From the spotted thread:

In the distance it was like a tank but as it passed it looked like the driver was a contortionist spilling out of a suitcase:

Old BMWs with the big six are very definitely in appreciating classic territory now. £8k is on the high side but not by much.
