Out of interest, did you get one on a cheap PCP or lease deal? I've been looking at the R estates and they suit my needs but they look a bit bland in R form for some reason.
It was a 36 month lease deal. I missed the boat on the really cheap ones unfortunately. I quite like the understated look of them, but its a frequent criticism that the styling is a bit bland.

Haha no, the 500e has a huge great thing on it now.
The ML, which is 15 years old and 125000 miles.
Dave!
Fairly sure my 330 is on its original battery - 2006 and 127k. It doesn't get trickle charged ever.
That’s pretty good going, I only started as the wife was doing a lot of short trips and so the heated seats and screens went on. We started getting odd little faults in the first couple of miles during winter.
Dave!
Yeah it's not bad given it doesn't do huge mileage, and even less so since getting the Superb. 8mi to work and back usually. It's been sat for a while until recently when the boy has gone back to school, and that first trip out it almost struggled to start. Dash went a bit odd with a blank trip display, but then it came back and has been right as rain since. Currently used to ferry him back and forth just 1mi each way.
I remember the days when I used to get through batteries quickly enough on my old Clios that I was still within the exchange period at Halfords

Plus a tonne of trailer, pulled by 109bhp in the original tune equates to about 30bhp/tonne. That would have been horrific !
So, is the right solution to source the V12TDi from the Q7 and do a transplant (ignoring that there are probably much better, easier and cheaper options available)?

I'm sure there are various Yank motorhomes with massive engines. Just pick the most ridiculous one.

TOUAREG POWER !!
300bhp & 550lbs
Incidentally, that's more torque that a Cayenne Turbo, and the fuel consumption's better too. Just.

And another thing. The other day Mito mentioned that the original Dodge Viper made 400bhp from 8 litres = 50 bhp/litre.
My first car was a 2CV. They made 29bhp from 602cc = 48 bhp/litre !
So a Viper is basically thirteen 2CVs stuck together ??

I was looking at tow cars the other day, just messing about on the DMS site to see what the best car would be. The standard Mulsanne has 1020 nm of torque and can be mapped to 1210 - I do believe they were available with a tow bar.
Next up would be the Cullinan with 720 bhp and 980 nm of torque. The current 4 litre G wagon is just shy of that and would make a tasty proposition.
BMW X5 M - 720 bhp and 900 nm
Just looking at the X5 35D my dad mapped and that’s 355 bhp and 700 nm but new performance cars are crazy. You can map and whole hot hatch into them and more

Modern big 4x4 with lovely auto boxes and loads of torque are great for towing, less so for sleeping in and taking a shower

That's why I suggested the transplant. Think of the bragging rights! Only (I assume) V12 campervan in the world.
Edit: quick Google suggests that nobody else has gone down that route.

It was detuned from the factory, same for most commercial and ever more normal road cars as well, mechanically identical but available in 3 power levels.
Saves the development costs for 3 variants I suppose!

Yes, but would that be the OV9 way?
I'm not saying anything. He's already quite upset with me.
