Apparently it hit 36 round my way, but it was still 34 on my drive home...

A lowly 30C up here. Apparently it was more like 32 but the car is the judge so 30C it is
28.5C in the nippers bedroom tonight though so he won't be falling asleep for a while

Where are you lot getting rain?
None predicted until Friday night here in Suffolk.
Loads of rain, thunder and lightning around the Suffolk coast

Just looked on Lightning Maps and there’s a storm that extends from Norwich to about 50 miles north of Paris going on right now. 320 strikes per minute!

Yep, has been an impressive show!
House has been slightly shaking, burglar alarm has gone off, electric has done a few unusual things

Apparently down to an almost chilly 22C here now. 82% humidity though, so it feels way warmer

It shut us down around 9:15, and no point starting anything back up while it's going on.
Had an impressive show all the way home.
So much for trusting the forecasts, I had to dash out when it started and close my car windows

Similar here at 22c and 85%. Muggy as fuck. I'm going to Croatia on saturday and will be glad to see the back of this sweaty shit for a few days

Well bit of an annoying situation, my parents are on holiday and I’ve just been told that the remote access to CCTV has gone done - looking online their postcode had a power cut but it’s apparently been restored. The cctv systems are wired to different fuse boards for redundancy so the whole power must be knocked out still unless it’s just the routers spazzing out which is possible. I’m not sure I fancy driving 70 miles right now but the stuff in the fridge freezer should hold until tomorrow evening right? Right?

Good site, ta
I got in at about half an hour ago. I'd seen various flashes about, but nothing else and hadn't heard any thunder. Five minutes after getting in there was a short, sharp shower, and within a minute of looking on the site above (only just done it) there were a few rolls of thunder

I hope there's more than that, the air's horrible (22° and 66% humidity) and won't be nice to try to fall asleep in
Ooh, a couple of flashes of lightning
Come on, hurry up and storm properly!

I saw 39 in the Smart the other day though it was just ok starting after it had been slowly baking to death in the sun. It dropped to 35 by the end of the journey which I guess was more realistic. Still bloody hot tho.

32 in London yesterday. Heathrow had the highest temp of 33 on the radio. It felt warmer today despite being quite cooler, must be the humidity. Luckily I had my AC units serviced yesterday too

I saw 32 degrees on the m1 near Sheffield. We've got an aircon unit at home and used it for the first time this summer last night.

Seen high 30s in the car, but that was with direct sunlight effect.
Got to 34.4 in work on Wednesday, which felt a heck of a lot hotter than standing outside even in the sun.

I stupidly ran a 5k in the midday sun today - you could feel the heat soak into you every time you came out from under the canopy of the trees. I was sweating for about an hour afterwards

I saw 41.5 in the car display yesterday, but I'm guessing that was caused by the sun beating down on hot tarmac, and the cooling fans blowing hot air over the external temp sensor
