Engine choices for the hovercraft are still being decided, but quite likely to be motorbike derived and standardised across both craft (BMW R1100 looking like a strong choice).
The boat will be keeping its Essex (it's retro appeal is growing on me) - it'll ultimately get some kind of forced induction (Eaton M62 off a Merc SLK most likely), but most immediately we need a water-based support vehicle, so it's just getting an overhaul/spruce up (sump repair, new bearings, carb rebuild, electronic ignition). in fact, work started yesterday:
