I'd say it's more that TVR moves slow.

No interior shots/renderings. TVRs had mental interiors and I loved them for it.

It looks really good in black, though.

Delivery now pushed back to 2023

This bit caught my eye:
Holding a three per cent stake in the British car brand, the Welsh government is playing a large role in funding the renovations...
Err... if they hold 3% of the company, wouldn't you expect them to be paying about..... 3% of the renovations ??

"The Welsh Government has bought a 3% stake in the sports car maker TVR for £500,000.

It has also provided a £2m loan to the company..."

This is old now so they may have pumped more money in since.

It didn’t look like a very bold/fresh design in 2019… are people really going to keep their orders live until 2023?

Excellent - you will have customer chassis #1 allocated to you. It will be rare as fvck. A great investment.

Anyone else?

That’s bound to be pretty awful for a sports car. ICE chassis which will have to have batteries squeezed in places which weren’t made for it

From that link:
TVR is poised to finally move into its new factory near Cardiff in the coming months...

The building is understood to require around 18 months' worth of fit-out work...
This debacle has been going on for 3+ years already and they are still another three years from having a functional manufacturing facility.

...but TVR said it will begin producing cars in the meantime.

And, how the hell do they have money to throw at sponsoring stuff ? I'd suggest it would be better employed speeding up building the dammed cars.

To answer that...
Five hundred Griffith Launch Editions are set to be produced, and although all were once accounted for, a ‘small number’ are now available.
I guess there's a lot of brand loyalty there, but there's only so much time people will wait for these things right?
