I think you’ve been online too much then - take the red pill has been a fairly well used phrase since 1999. if some men’s rights organisation has used it 20 years later then it’s not exclusively theirs!

They’ve been using it for at least 10 years. One of the biggest alt right groups on reddit came out of a mra sub called the redpill.

My entire job is based around 'online' and I've never ever heard it used by alt-right nut-jobs.
