Clwb Tropica NA is a decent non alcohol beer.
I know this as I bought it by accident when they rebranded the 5.5 full fat stuff from Clwb Tropicana to Clwb Tropica, and the non alcohol to Tropica NA, by and only found out after I drank eight cans and still felt the same.

Can we simply make it a 'beer' thread then? Seems crazy to have separate threads for low and high alcohol beers
As you wish.
Damn! Not the outcome I was hoping for

I'd be interested in an update if anyone finds a low alc beer they like tbh. I don't have them often but sometimes you just crave that taste.

I've spent the last few months trying all the low/no alcohol beers I can find in the main supermarkets and there's been one very, very clear winner, Athletic Brewing Run Wild IPA.
It's the first zero alcohol beer where I've genuinely wanted to plough through the entire pack. Everyone raves about Guinness 0% and that stuff is nice, but it's still boring after one can. The Athletic Brewing IPA is in a different class, it's got none of that sweetness that NA beers often have (such as the Erdinger) and would absolutely pass a blind taste test alongside regular IPAs. Even my dad, who's a die-hard ale drinker thinks it is fantastic.
The only problem is that it's hard to find. Tesco did stock it, however I've not seen any on the shelves in any of my locals for a few weeks. Cases are available from other sellers online, however they come in at nearly double what it costs in Tesco. If you see it at the £5 per 4 pack, grab me a slab.

Cheers pal, I’ll pick some up if I see it.

@ZedLeg it starts out quite hoppy on the palate with some bitterness. That quickly fades, leaving not much flavour behind. It isn't unpleasant, but too bland for my liking. Won't buy again.
Almost feel like a low fizz sparkling water with a faint beer flavour.
Ah that’s disappointing.

As an Irishman I have to say... I'm not sure if it's the glass, or the light, or the fact it's a 0% but that Pint does not look right at all
You sir have a good eye.
Its a bit too clear, not quite as creamy texture as the Proper stuff.

It's the colour at the bottom, Guinness should have enough body to stop any light going through

As we'd bought six, I had another one tonight, and on second drinking I think it improved with a caveat.
As a beer it still fails. As a non-sweet adult fizzy drink with a pleasant hint of beer about it, it isn't too bad. So, think of it not as beer, and is okay. Still won't buy it again, but can see a point to it.

Yeah that’s it.
The head isn’t right either. It should leave a ring on the glass. You should be able to tell how many mouthfuls someone has taken by the number of rings

Now I live just outside Worcester I can more easily get the different offerings from the Wye Valley Brewery. My absolute favourite ales still, particularly HPA and Butty Bach.

Brewdog Black Heart. Hated it and couldn't finish the can! Surprised it gets good reviews, just tasted like someone described Guinness over the phone to someone else who then tried to brew it themselves.

At risk of pushing the boundaries of this thread, I’ve discovered Sipsmith Freeglider. It’s alcohol-free gin and it is excellent in a negroni. Still using alcoholic Campari and Martini Rosso plus a dash of Angostura orange bitters so it’s not alcohol-free. But it really work; the flavours go beautifully and you can drink more of them before becoming utterly wankered.

That’s a bloody brilliant idea Simon. I love a Negroni or seven but they make my head feel like it’s been cracked open the next day.
Next stop after that would be a lower alcohol White Russian. They’re easy to make extra strong and I can smash through them at such a violent pace that my knees forget how to work before my brain realises it’s happened.
