The Racetech floor coverings were like bathroom floor tiles in a chequerplate pattern. I didn't change them but they were utterly shit and anyone with an RT should have put in proper mats like the ST ones. Easy to add.

The RT alcantara felt much higher quality than the thin leather on the ST seats so I always thought it was preferable. Lack of the front speakers seemed a shame until I noticed how much I kicked the area where they'd be mounted on an ST

Must be something in the air at the minute what with Jobbo and Dan at it, but lots of work done on the Elise this year, the main one being 'brightening up'. :D

I'm a great believer in bright colours for mid-engined sports cars so it was always on the list to give teh Elise bit of a visual lift to match the drivetrain. There was serious amounts of osmosis anyway, so it needed a strip and bake.

I know a lot of people love Titanium (also the fact that it came across as a bit of a sleeper) and it is a nice colour, so I certainly don't expect this to be to everyone's (or maybe even anyone's) taste!

I've found out it's pretty nerve wracking picking up a car when you've agonised over colours for ages (definitely more than a year), picked one, and you finally collect it. Thankfully it's totally exceeded my expectations and I absolutely love it.

Sadly it's been driven back this morning in overcast conditions and gone straight in the garage (busy day at work), tried to get some photos quickly at lunch but nothing is doing it justice yet.

I think the last pic is the most representative.

Now I'm going to go away and cry while you all tell me that it looks shit and needs black wheels! Cunts.

Duncs, that looks amazing. And yes, black wheels would work - with a silver/polished rim at least.

Is it a full repaint, not just a bit of cling film like mine?

This is what I was thinking of for alloys, but actually I'm not sure - stay silver.

That looks great 8-)

Agreed - not black...although if you google "Lotus Liquid Yellow" most have black wheels, but have black accents on the car. I think just a slightly darker silver to bring out the lines/shape of the wheels would be enough.
