WTF is it about these car revels. Just leave it in the car park, give me the keys and let me get on with it. Social media has a lot to answer for.

Why is there a giant telephone on the wall?
how many revels?

If you can guess how many Revel's required to fill Simon's S6, you win a prize.

You should definitely have done a lispy piece to camera, dubbed over with copyright free music and uncomfortable jump cuts, whilst wearing unfortunate mirrored sunglasses and 'hair by Sonia'.

Oh, love the car choice by the way. How many miles do you think you'll be putting on it now you've a closer office to commute to?

Hopefully less than 25k a year - shorter commute is 45 miles each way instead of 70 but I still have to go to the original office at least once a week. That adds up to 500 miles a week.

Have got a fairly easy 45mpg today so economy isn’t going to be a problem.

“Congratulations on collecting your brand new Audi”

Should read

“Thanks for your money now fuck off”

Tried them up against the car - there's a bit more sidewall to the real things and I think they probably look better than the mock-up:

I think you'll find those are far too straight to be associated with me.

Further impressions:
- The active cruise control reads traffic signs, including the variable limits on the gantries over the motorway, and will change the set speed for them. I've found an option to allow a bit of tolerance rather than it sticking rigidly to the limit; or you can turn it off completely. The self-steering is subtle enough to be useful and not intrusive. Seems good so far.
- The big high res screen on the dash is lovely for displaying nav etc, but it's so big it's a bit of a stretch to reach the far side. And Carplay icons are really small; there's probably an option on my phone to change that. Google Maps via Carplay doesn't allow you to pinch to zoom, so I'm actually using the car's nav in preference; still shows Google aerial images and traffic so nothing much to choose between them otherwise.
- The screen in the dash is lower down than the pop-up screen in my old Allroad, which means you need to look further from the road.
- Ride is noticeably sportier without being uncomfortable; but it doesn't have the slight inconsistency that air springs do of being really smooth then thumping over the odd bump.

I take a tight U-turn each day and wondered if I might have benefited from the 4-wheel steering which is only on the Vorsprung versions, but this morning doing it for the first time in the S6 it seemed to have a slightly tighter turning circle than the Allroad. Pleased with that. The CLS had a very good turning circle and the Volvo V90's was appalling.

1. ETron does this. As an EV it will wipe off speed pretty aggressively if you encounter (for example) a 40-limit at motorway roadworks. Smoothest option seems to be to cancel the cruise as you are entering the slower speed zone, and then reset things.

2. Where is setting for tolerance? Wonder if ours has that too....?

It's very black. Did you avoid getting black wheels so you didn't have to spend a year dead for tax reasons?

Isn’t this a legal thing that every car produced from this year must have? Currently user overrideable but I can’t see that lasting many more years.
How about not having a sig at all?

I'm struggling to find my way through all the menus so I'd have to play around to find it again - I think it's somewhere under the top Car icon.

Is yours MIB3? That's the current version of the Audi OS which was from about 2020; in the A6 the presence of USB-C rather than USB-A ports in the centre console shows you have MIB3 not MIB2. I don't know how different they might be.

Mito, since the car only has it due to being specced with the optional Tour Pack, I don't think it's mandatory.
