That looks like a winner if it goes under £10k. Didn't JonMad have the previous model?
Mine was that shape. Lovely noise, handling benefitted from having 150kg taken out of it but as a woofly waiter it’s great (though OC has a Mustang for that role).

That one looks nice and not a bad price even for 200k as long as loads of stuff has been replaced, I’ve seen them for silly high money.

Great little cars but that ones about 2 grand over priced.

As for the rest of the shit people are suggesting, is anyone here even into cars any more?
Elise or GTFO presumably ;)
Elises are a lot more than £7.5k :(

Or similar.
If I had a coupe I’d be doing exactly that.
chop in the leaky vert and get a coupe with a sc then!
Evonomics, do both.

It’s not 100% off cards TBH, if it condenses excessively in the Autumn I think that’ll be the solution. If not, I’ll press ahead with the few other changes I wanted to make to it and keep an eye on the used car market and see if CV19 really drops the prices of the coupes over the next couple of years.

You’ve mentioned Clios at least twice now so that’s clearly what you’re (consciously or unconsciously) after. Get on with it !
It would only be replacing the want for another hot hatch following the riot I had in my two Fiesta ST’s, however I think the Clio will do better long term with prices where they are currently. A Clio Williams might of the price bracket already.

I really quite fancy the idea of something Lotus based as I’ve always fancied either an Elise or a Caterfield.

If I just wanted a track car I’d consider that, I wonder how much work would be needed to get it back in her road :?

I'd say go for something exciting and I'd be going down the Caterfield route.

I wouldn't buy a mk1 Clio unless it was soemthing you were going to cherish - they're rare as hen's teeth these days and getting parts will be quite difficult. Renault (and the French in general) used to cease making parts for models more than 2 generations old. I'm not even sure how easy it is to get new OEM parts for the Mk2 tbh.

Rusty wishbones  That’s a perfect suggestion, I’d forgotten about those as a less expensive way into owning a Lotus Elise 8-)

Haha! It’s built by lotus as a re-styled Elise S2.

Regardless. Despite having a Vauxhall badge, it’s still desirable.

Using the earlier example, you put vauxhall badges on an Alfa Guillieta and it has zero appeal.
