Even searching on street view I saw a copper going down that road. I am now aware! :|

Fun fact. 18 years ago when I first moved to this area the 40 limit change was actually the village side of the bridge, right where the Google StreetView car is in your link, but coming the other way people didn't slow down enough for the 30 so they moved the change to the other side of the bridge. As you come the other way there is one of those signs that tells you your speed and flashes 30.

What were you doing in my neck of the woods anyway?

I was dropping the car in for service at 9e just over the other side of the M23 in Horley.

So I got a £3,500 quid bill and a NIP in the post within a day of each other.

Think I might take up cycling

Without any signs I would have assumed it was a 30 because there aren’t any limit signs at the entrance to or exit from any of the small residential side roads, which I very much doubt would be nsl.

Our road doesn’t have any signs or street lights but you enter a 30 zone when you come into the village about 20 yards before our turning, and remain in it until you get to signs showing a limit change on any of the roads out of the village.

It was right at the beginning of my road trip through Wales, to Muki-land and Andy Bond land. in the e46 and I dug out the article I wrote about it. It made me really appreciate the effort @SSO puts into his articles.
Appreciated.

It’ll be online via zoom, I don’t think you need to do it with your local authority- I believe ours from Cleveland is one one of the cheapest through Hartlepool council at £75

Stick a dummy on your camera and see if they notice.

They keep asking questions and make sure your not using any of the software that can send a short looped video to make it look like you’re paying attention

...and don't let the bus drop below 50mph I guess?

As long as it’s a 50mph zone marked by a pair of large commencement signs and then small repeater signs every 20-30 seconds.

Seriously though, I know people who have got through entire meetings on zoom using that trick with a looped video

Twice this year I’ve seen a police officer pointing a laser gun at night on an unlit section of road. Is this some new fancy tech then?

I thought the guns were capable of it, assumed they tended not bother at night because of traffic levels unless there were particular asbo reasons. Where have they been?

Beware if you’re anywhere near Northamptonshire Police’s patch. Speed camera vans are now unmarked
