I’ve had a noose made for me by an angry group of villagers and I can confirm it’s genuinely scary

That one s about as intimidating and scary as a puppy with a flower.

I was being called a white devil by an angry Cabindan village though.

If you look hard enough you can find racism anywhere, it’s making a mockery of any genuine racists who should be educated or removed from the gene pool on all sides.

and playing devil’s advocate, it’s also ok to accept that some people will actively try to find racism even when it doesn’t exist. So it’s hardly surprising that the extremists will take the opportunity to gloat and score points.
