One job I absolutely could not do. There would be too many nobheads finding themselves getting pushed out the driver's door

Perhaps that would help improve driving standards?

Hardly.
00's diesel car that was in a big crash but still has it's engine bay mostly intact, still starts and runs for, oh, twenty seconds.
Incredible.

Every day is a school day...
"The Khoikhoi were called the 'Hottentots' by European settlers because the sound of their language was so different from any European language, and they could not pronounce many of the words and sounds."

A Dutch onomatopoeic word for stuttering to describe indigenous people with a clicking like language.
I struggle with some of these decisions when you are judging historical things by 21st century standards.

We should also ban Guy Ritchie's film "Snatch" as well because it refers to "pikeys" which is also a derogatory term
Or is that OK because the characters use it in a derogatory way because of their character traits?
i.e. a racist character could use the word "hottentots" because that's how that character would refer to the Khoikhoi, but a "good guy" can't?

I think if someone who is non local imposes a title for that group then it is deemed automatically offensive. See Eskimo and in more recent times the re-naming of mountains.
This also brings up something quite interesting in our language in which we rename locations to presumably be able to pronounce them.
Should we call country and city names in their local dialect? Eg should Switzerland be Suisse and Geneva pronounced Ji-nev.
It’s like the whole Kiev to Kyiv thing.
Spain is a bit weird where the locals automatically change your name to the Spanish version
Anyway that’s enough shit can opening for a Tuesday morning.

Yep it really annoys me that it's the same sound used for absolutely everything. Whether your washer fluid is low, its below 3 outside, or your car has just had a catastrophic failure.
