Re: Coronavirus
I'm fairly comfortable with vaccinations - my 3rd is booked for Monday. What's made you choose an arbitrary 12 month timescale between vaccinations?

Vaccines
Masks. I don't like wearing masks, however, I'm happy to tow the line in shops if it helps other vulnerable people feel more comfortable. I don't feel some great oppression from wearing a mask in these situations, but I won't be wearing a mask 24/7 ever.
Is this the sheep bit? What's your take on masks Broccers.

Re: Coronavirus
I need to get my booster sorted, I've got a tattoo appointment booked and my first gig in 2 years in January.
Masks are fine, I had to wear one for a couple of hours while I was getting a tattoo during the summer and I didn't suffocate

Heard a funny exchange on the radio at lunchtime
Lad phones up a show raging about having to show a vaccine passport or negative test to get into football. "There's nothing wrong with me. Vaccination or not, it's a personal preference and has nothing to do with football. Why should I have to prove it ?
Radio Host - "Have you ever been frisked going into the ground?"
Lad - "Or course, every time"
Radio Host - "Why do you have to prove you don't have a weapon on you"
Lad... erm...

If you just want to rail against the world, feel free. Not sure why you're so keen to do it about COVID rather than people who don't pick up their dog's poo or the plastic bag fee in supermarkets or the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre.

Re: Coronavirus
I wear a mask when required with no problem at all. If I visit our factory or any of our offices I take a lateral flow test when I arrive and wear a mask all the time I'm there. All day is a bit of a pain but it protects people and also makes them feel safe about my visit so no biggie really.
Not sure why people get so up in arms about it??
For us it's keeps the factory open and the wheels of industry turning. We're in London and since 16th March 2020 have not had to stop production once. Mainly due to the measures we have in place like mask wearing and temp monitoring. It's sensible and pragmatic and we have a duty of care towards the employees of the business as well as the shareholders.

Re: Coronavirus
I'm not bothered with masks but I am amazed at how much all this has accelerated the invasion of privacy for people. On the one hand it's a massive headache for the authorities but it's also a massive wet dream for them in terms of tracking everyones movements. All these contentious issues now swiftly allowed "because Covid". I was pretty surprised to read that South Korea - a pretty liberal country (by the standards of the nutcase regimes that surround them) was introducing a massive AI CCTV system which automatically tracked every single person with Covid as well as their contacts.
You can see where that is going...

Re: Coronavirus
What a surprise that story is in the Telegraph.
There have been multiple SARS threats over the last decade or more; we’ve been lucky they didn’t cause a pandemic but any could have. None of those were the result of an escape from a lab. Evolution of a virus is absolutely normal.
You’d think that newspaper has an agenda to push…

Re: Coronavirus
Even if you dispute the source, it's just too much of a coincidence IMO that a virus came from Wuhan with the presence of WIV there also. It's not a conspiracy theory like 'the moon landings were faked' or JFK was shot from the grassy knoll. Ockham's razor isn't it?

Re: Coronavirus
With the other SARS/'Rona viruses, haven't they found the animal version which mutated into the version that transferred to humans?
Seems a bit weird they haven't found that link yet.

Re: Coronavirus
In the article I linked they mention a much closer variant which is transmissible to humans has been found.Marv wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 9:45 pm With the other SARS/'Rona viruses, haven't they found the animal version which mutated into the version that transferred to humans?

Re: Coronavirus
I find it just crazy that there's a lab in a city working on developing this type of virus, and the outbreak originated from that city, and it is not assumed that the lab is not in all liklihood the source.
Maybe it isn't the origin, but it's a bit like being caught next to a dead body with a bloody knife and everybody is happy to assume you're not the murderer.
