Its not really trolling if everyone is enjoying laughing at you though! When we have me, Jobbo and Gwarreddthhdd agreeing on something - it must be something pretty good.

Maybe that's your thing, bringing joy to the forum and uniting us!

I can see why some posters are on anti dep tabs. Also the bullying culture on forums would get to people.

You're lucky, I'm not affected by cunts on the web. By the way discuss the subject.

Certainly!

What's your opinion on covid, lockdown and vaccinations and why?

Apologies. I should have said you're being the cunt on this thread., the the entire Web. Don't want to come across as a bully either, so sorry if I came over as one. The random shit you come out with is baffling though.

Can I just say, perhaps contrary to my earlier sanity on display, that I think that the government (and governments around the world) have over-reached in some regards? I get the lockdowns. I understand that we need to say to some non-essential shops and hospitality 'no, you need to stay closed for the good of the nation and the pay-off is that society will pay your staff and give you some money to help you tick over until things open up again'. I understand all that.

But to say to people that you can't go into, for example, your parents home is an over-reach. Of that I've no doubt. My parents home is my childhood home, my parents are both aging quickly and yet somehow the Government can step between us with it's proclamations and say 'no, you can't see your parents or go into their house' is just wrong. No two ways about it. Don't get me wrong, until they were vaccinated I happily did everything I could to keep them safe, and was happy to not see them and put them at risk. But the moment they were vaccinated the only thing stopping me was 650 MPs in London, none of whom I voted for.

I also don't agree with people having to pay for hotel quarantine for red list countries when they're already abroad when the rules are introduced. So, if you were a British resident holidaying in South Africa 2 or 3 weeks ago you suddenly had to find upwards of £2k to be allowed to return home. That's wrong, and I see there's a court challenge about it too. Good. I hope they win. Sure, if you're yet to leave the country then you should pay for your quarantine hotel on return, that's your choice to continue to travel, but if you're already out there when the rules are changed then there's no reasonable argument to say you have to pay £2k, £4k or whatever just to be allowed back home. That's extortion.

Funnily enough I'd go further on other issues. I agree with covid passports. You don't have a 'right' to enter any particular shop or venue and if you're not adult enough to assume the responsibilities of adulthood during a pandemic then I don't care if you can't go and see your favourite footy club, or go into your local boozer. Tough. I cheered Austria's 'lockdown of the unvaccinated'' in this regard. If the shit really hit the fan I'd endorse compulsory vaccination too. No way should the lives of the vaccinated continue to be held to ransom by those too stupid or selfish to do what they should.

But not being able to see my family for months on end, nah, sod that. I don't care what happens between now and Christmas. We'll all be boosted in a couple of days, we'll do LFTs just in case (we have stock in the cupboard!) to be sure, but I'm not changing my plans for anyone regardless of the rules. That game is over.

Hmmm.. PCR test on Saturday was negative. Today, I’ve tested positive with a LFT(2), and the gf has tested +ve aswell.. PCR test drive through tomorrow then.

Unfortunately, I went to Barbados in between so first officer has been told to isolate and track and trace going through my crew.

Hopefully be better in time for Xmas and 10 days means I can see my daughter on the 25th, but was literally 10mins from picking her up when I took the test. Lucky, I suppose.

Has longer lasting effects than just the illness aswell: I can’t fly to some places for 90 days and Shanghai: I’ll never again visit as per current regs I’m banned by the Chinese! Stop having live food markets then fuckos! 🙄

Stop having a medical research centre investigating gain of function of coronaviruses right next to the 'epicentre of origin', then making the original discovering scientist sign a confession before his subsequent death, then failing to collaborate with a WHO team investigating the origins of it then lie to the world and play fucking innocent about the whole thing you genocidal, shit eating cunt-faced fuckos! 🙄

Delphi wrote: Mon Dec 13, 2021 1:55 pm You still haven't produced any evidence and told me to do my own research. Classic. Ok, I did - here you go.

https://www.pnas.org/content/118/4/e2014564118#sec-22

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7883189/

Again, show me the peer reviewed scientific evidence that wearing masks doesn't work.
How strange you didnt find links which backed up anything other than what you are claiming
Well if you delve into the second link and bearing in mind this was only a 10 minute scan you find this:

https://aaqr.org/articles/aaqr-13-06-oa-0201

One of the first studies cited for efficacy shows that unless it's an N95 mask they are not effective, note the submission date: 2013, pre-covid so no agenda.

Another study cited in 2010:

https://academic.oup.com/annweh/article ... login=true

Again marginal if any benefit from non-N95 cloth masks.

positive impact study cited:

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/ful ... /jmv.25805

March 2020, Miraculously they are now fucking brilliant. This study comes from where? China, just where they are making and selling all this PPE. Also having lied about the Virus from day 1 in pretty every aspect.

So if you skip reading that actual studies contained in the article and just read the conclusion where it says masks are wonderful you'd believe that they were, but I wonder how many of the people who reviewed it looked into the studies cited and just ignored the ones I found in a few minutes and just signed it off?

This CDC study is comical too:

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nc ... -cov2.html

They cite this study as part of their evidence:

'An investigation of a high-exposure event in the U.S., in which 2 symptomatically ill hair stylists interacted for an average of 15 minutes with each of 139 clients during an 8-day period, found that none of the 67 clients who subsequently consented to an interview and testing developed infection. The stylists and all clients universally wore masks in the salon as required by local ordinance and company policy at the time.44'

However reading this actual study: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/69/wr/mm6928e2.htm

They tested less than 50% of the 139 clients which make the study invalid and shouldn't form part of the CDC recommendations. The response rate was so pitiful. We could have found that the 72 people who refused to be tested were all Covid positive.

This Danish study was widely anticipated and was supposed to be published by Boston Medical Journal among others however with the results show negligible difference between wearers and non-wearers it was relegated to here:

https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/m20-6817
A lot of the studies here are pre 2019 I.e. not covid-19. And some of the science is weak as hell. The PNAS (tee hee) review and meta analysis originally posted (1st link) is informative, I think.

But then it agrees with my world view, so I would say that.

But my world view is informed by science, so I’m entitled to say it.

Anyway. They are cancelling a bunch of elective activity at work so we can become a vaccine hub. Good luck getting your SVT ablation or angioplasty done this side of Christmas!

I can offer you a half price deal for both in my new mobile medical practice in return for a five star review. Further discounts available if you don't mind holding the rib spreader yourself while I work and cleaning up before you leave.

(For the absolute avoidance of doubt this is not serious)

I've been brutally honest about how the vax jabs have nearly killed my father on this subject. I sincerely hope none of you experience the same thing.

so you're against jabs because they nearly killed your father, but you got 3 jabs? No one disagrees with you because no one knows what your views are, because you don't seem to take a stance on anything, apart from just calling people sheep.

Just back from my booster. Super slick operation at a Hindu temple in Crawley. Weirdly I got Moderna, and my brother at the same centre yesterday had Pfizer. Also had it administered by a girl from the army, rather than an NHS doc or volunteer.

Colleagues who've had the AZ/Moderna combo have said to not expect good things in the evening!

I've had AZ/Moderna having had the booster on Monday. I've had an epic sore arm then yesterday PM started feeling rubbish and the soreness extended right across my shoulders.

Feel fine this morning though. 👍

Struggling to disagree with you when you won't actually say what your views are most of the time, then come out with ambiguities such as Rich pointed out.

If you just want to rail against the world, feel free. Not sure why you're so keen to do it about COVID rather than people who don't pick up their dog's poo or the plastic bag fee in supermarkets or the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre.

Am I wrong? What is your view? What is @Jobbo going to say on the matter? It's really easy to battle with you guys.

If you search back I've said I will not have another jab until it's proven it works for 12 months.

I am fairy sure I am not alone here, just most people can't be arsed to get bullied by idiots.
