@Zonda_ you have to find the right one for your dug.
We feed ours twice a day (“pup” is still 3x at the mo) Ours get kibble for breakfast (it’s like cereal eh? But not cheap cereal

and occaisionally in the evening mixed with sardines or whatevah ) We use Skinners and it works well.
Same as us. Skinners Field&Trial twice a day with suitable scraps when available.
If I fed Peggy (the big ginger ponce) what Dave feeds the Rots she'd have the shits for days. They're all different.

Raw is a funny one, you need to go all in and give them a few days. Luckily ours were great from the off but it’s not a given. Considering their teeth and condition I’d only feed raw now but it can be an absolute pain at times and not worth it.
Dave!

We did raw for a couple of months years ago. Dogs loved it, but it was too much extra effort with us both working

I just avoid anything with wheat now. Alfie seemed to develop a sensitivity to everything, turned out to be a strange side effect of a prostate infection.
Any wheat containing food gives them the squits, but they’re fine with barley so don’t need “grain free”, just better quality food

I also tried the raw diet for my dog. He really liked it but it stank too much and was too much work. Then I moved onto raw chicken and boiled rice and he loved that too and all was well until he got salmonella from it.
Now he’s on Lily’s Kitchen - I think they put crack in that stuff as he actually bullies me for it.

German Shepherd “pup” is now 10.5months old.
Then vs now…
I was going to say

I didn't expect the change in the markings, then I realized when I walk by the sea I see the change in the cygnets and gulls
Seeing a dog full of fun always makes things better

Yeah she’s got a lot more tan as she grew. Her mum is “black n tan” whereas her dad is jet black, so she isn’t as light as many.

Excellent flight pic
(There's a gag in there somewhere about him being well balanced, and the position of his ears and tail give him good attitude

)

Went to a fair over the bank holiday weekend and fell slightly in love with Otterhounds. They're big, noisy and guaranteed to get into any water you come across, but they're also quite amazing.
Edit: hbtMnw.

It appears we may be joining the shenanigans in this thread shortly.
Off to view some Yellow Labrador pups this weekend, I've never had a dog before but my wife grew up with lots of them and has wanted one for a while.
If all goes to plan should get her the weekend the schools break up so she will have 7 weeks of daily attention and training.
Quite excited

Having a dog is the best thing ever. Apart from when they get the shits.

Some advice, get it on raw food ASAP. You'll thank me for it when it comes to picking up shit.

How's everyone transporting dogs?
I know i need a seatbelt harness type thing in the car, but in the XF it obviously needs to be in the car, not the boot.
I've seen this little waterproof bed type thing with a seatbelt in that looks OK, obviously in the V60 she can go in the boot in a bed with a harness on I guess (once she's older).
Or shall I just get a seat protector and leave it at that?

We have seat protectors that fasten around the front and rear headrests. They have slots in them to allow you to still use the seat belts.

This is what my FIL has with a medium sized dog and it works really well.
