Cone filter or replacement panel filter?

For a cone filter the more you can shield it from heat sources and get cool air to it the better where reasonably practical. Also consider that a cold air feed can act as a water feed in the rain, standard intakes usually have quite a lot of thought put into their design.
If you have a cone filter you could consider housing it in some kind of box, and maybe open out and flatten the cone filter.

Unless, of course, you’re only interested in making your car go “BWOOOORP” which is, frankly, all the justification you need, imo.

My lottery-win garage absolutely has a tyre changing machine and wheel balance in it.

Yeah - they are not so expensive. More a space challenge....

This, they sound fucking great. The ones I’ve fitted always came as a kit with metal shields to keep heat out.
How about not having a sig at all?

One of these. Not sure if it will fit into the original housing or not. From what I remember when I changed it last, the factory filter is a bit more like a cone filter anyway

I think K&N claim about another 9bhp with their filter, hmmmm... I doubt that.

Even if added 3 or 4, you'd never notice the difference. It's purely because I'm yet to grow up and leave cars alone.

Technically they should fail for a light source incompatible with the light unit, but hopefully if the beam pattern is ok and the tester isn't an arse they should pass it.

A pass I assume. Unfair! The ones I fitted to the A2 (because I got fed up with bulbs not lasting long) failed the mot, one of the halogens I fitted to pass has already gone 7-8 weeks later   At least they're easy enough to change.
Bulb changed. I ended up changing both sides because I found a matching pair (poss. Nightbreakers). Fitted them at the back of the house, by the time I'd parked out front the driver's side had gone

Awesome fun drive to the office and back doing a late one to fight a naughty RDS2019 install before travel gets locked down. The Leaf flowed very well, very impressive. Saw one car in either direction in 20 miles.

Well, my Evora buyer has pulled out of the deal due to the current situation. Understandable. In all honestly, unless I'm willing to sell it for a significant loss, I doubt it'll move. I'll leave the advert for another week to see what happensthen I think I'll just take it down. Thankfully I'm in no rush to sell, but clearing the loan would have been nice.

Sorry to hear that Matty, but as you say, understandable with what's happening.

Were trying to find a house at the minute and its causing all sorts of nightmares with people not wanting us to look round.

Hope you get sorted one way or another, at least you have quiet roads to enjoy it on right now!

Test drive both and see what suits you. Evora isn’t great for moving around incognito....

Well, that's a whoosh from the engine bay but not much more than that. Maybe it's too well insulated to hear any proper induction noise, even with the lid of the housing off.
