That looks more like the Gary Handa simulator based on some of the overtakes I remember seeing in very old videos
Nah, not enough central solid lines.
Only clip he got of me was pulling away from him in the twisties...

Yeah, IIRC he was the epitome of all the gear, no idea.
400 (alleged) horsepower Golf, but no understanding of how to go around a corner. Or road safety.

Seasonal warning - be cautious when looking for a family movie on Christmas Day.
This sort of thing always baffles me; from the number of videos about it must happen quite often but I've never seen anything like it irl, even when people do seem to panic and steer sharply.

I've seen it happen once. Coming up to some slow/stationary traffic on a dual carriageway the car behind me - a safe distance behind me fortunately - braked hard and then span, landing neatly on the hard shoulder facing the opposite direction. Not entirely sure how they did it, I was watching them in my rear view mirror while also looking where I was going.

Somebody posted this wonderfully misprinted newspaper article on Twitter again - rather than link it, I've found a more readable copy:
ETA: I had forgotten Michael Spicer reading it out too...

Such a shame that the camera turns away exactly at the moment of launch.

I was expecting the bike to make a break for freedom and ride off to the left while the car carried on oblivious.

Another “Never gets old” and a slightly better quality clip than usual…
That garage door is really good. I particularly dislike the look of roller shutter doors; they're always set inside the opening so look too recessed, and they don't have any features, even a handle, to break up the large expanse of nothing.
