Thanks, it thankfully hasn't gotten any worse since Friday but it's a bit discouraging that it hasn't got any better either.

The NHS Test and Trace people were not great to deal with, giving them address' for where I been in the last three weeks and their system can't even use Google to confirm postcodes.

Had my second Pfizer jab last night. Pretty much the same experience as the first one. Sore arm and a bit of a headache. It was really busy at the centre though compared to the first jab. Had to queue outside to start with, apparently they were doing a big 4 day push to get as many people done as possible. My younger brother had his done as well last night, even though he'd has his first jab about 10 days after me.

Had my second Pfizer on Thursday morning and it really knocked me.

First one was pretty much just a really really sore arm.

Second was just an arm ache, but by Friday afternoon wasn’t feeling too great, Friday night was blowing hot and cold, had an awful nights sleep and spent most of Saturday aching all over and constantly sweating.

Sunday, fine.

Getting it was totally different too, first one there was a queue of 25 or so people outside, this time I was straight through the door to a receptionist and a minute later getting the needle despite lots of signs for walk in appointments too.

Lockdown 6.0 here in Melbourne. Initially 7 days, then extended for another 7. Last night extended for 14 days + curfew.

We are 18 month into this and still locked down. Aus had it so good for so long and are now back to square one. If the vaccination program was vigorously pursued while we had it "so good" I'm sure we wouldn't be in the state we are. An absolute waste.

It's just bloody sad and depressing how short sighted Australian leaders have been.

Plenty of friends in Melbourne are just completely fed up with being so vulnerable to the small minority of utter fwits who think they can do as they please.

In other news I'm now allowed outside again, still nowhere near 100% though, occasionally get hit by fatigue and my sense of taste seems to have gotten far worse after initially being ok.

Finally got my 2nd AZ jab last week, zero side effects, not even any local tenderness from the injection.
Liver function enzymes continue to drop (were 86 now 60 - not a clue what the units are), review in 12 months.

NZ back into level four over a single case yesterday, looking like another four cases today and confirmed as Delta.

It'll be a very interesting use case I think, to see whether the full on 'clamp down strongly straight away' vibe works against Delta variant, and if so, how long does it take.

PS - we have bog roll, so we're all good.

How well is the vaccination program going Dave, I hope it's not as pitiful as here?

It's not great I don't think. 934,000 fully vaccinated which is what 19% and 1.6mil first doses which is 32%.

I've been quiet on the topic for a while as I more than ever think we've been done over with this.

People get ill all the time. That's life. Living it while you can rather than being in fear is where it's at. It's never been a pandemic.

You still haven't looked up the meaning of pandemic then?

I didn't need to. Maybe you should. Cases aren't an indication of anything. Died with aren't a true reflection of death. You're welcome.

Just quoting this, so you can't delete it after you've realised how dumb it is.

shall we work through this?

What's an epidemic?

A rapid spread of an infectious disease to a large number of people in a population within a short period of time. Yep, that sounds like Covid so far. Let's go on.

What's a pandemic?

An epidemic of an infectious disease that's spread across a large region, for instance THE WORLD, and affected a substantial number of people. Yep, that sounds an Awful lot like Covid too...

Like you say, lots of people across the entire world are "with covid", so lots of people all across the world have got a disease that has spread really quickly... errrr

Testing incorrect.
Percentage tested, incorrectly, 3.5 in the uk
Let's be generous and say 1.8 percent positive.
These are people not ill enough to be in emergency angel hospital car parks.

It's all a con.

It's a common theme when people have zero comeback.

I explained, in really simple terms, the meaning of Pandemic because you couldn't be bothered to look it up.

You then posted back something about 3.5% of people incorrectly tested in the U.K. - which I'm certain isn't what you were trying to say.
