Man gets train to Edinburgh.
Receives email en-route that train is cancelled. Staff say non. Then - oh - apparently oui.
Passengers kicked off at Preston - after some wait it is revealed that train co contingency plan is : taxis. Lots of taxis. From Preston to Edinburgh. Get there around 04:00.

What I don’t understand is why he was using the WCML not the ECML if he was going London-Edinburgh.
