I did forget about that, yes.GG. wrote: Fri Jun 25, 2021 6:39 pmDid you forget about Bill Clinton getting sucked off by his intern, going through impeachment proceedings and giving a hollow apology but at no point resigning?duncs500 wrote: Fri Jun 25, 2021 1:26 pmI know, but Trump is the pioneer. Boris has also been leading by example. Affair, divorce and re married while in office![]()
I'm thinking from previous convos you've worked in at least local/regional govt. I've worked in national govt and I've always assumed that all my trips down the corridors were monitored.DeskJockey wrote: Fri Jun 25, 2021 6:27 pm Irrespective of what the numpty has done, there's a bigger and far more interesting question, with potentially very significant ramifications, that needs answering: who has access to government building CCTV systems?
The least worst and probably most plausible option is that it was deliberately leaked from inside by someone who had been ordered to do so. Other options are significantly worse and could have far wider implications.
There are cameras everywhere! But still, who has access to the networks?Beany wrote: Fri Jun 25, 2021 8:29 pmI'm thinking from previous convos you've worked in at least local/regional govt. That's why I got off with game colleagues in the Comms room, not the corridors or the lifts, because in the comms room, I know there are no cameras. And strong air conditioning is a plus.
Hancock has to be hung out to dry for this. He has to.
Hasn't he...?
Depends on the networks, doesn't it....DeskJockey wrote: Fri Jun 25, 2021 8:37 pmThere are cameras everywhere! No gov shit on my standalone LAN back in the day as they didn't like unmonitored sftp uploads, which was kinda the point of an agile service like gov.UK, or direct.gov.uk back in the day..... Can't run something like that where a file upload takes three weeks to be approved
Christ, I used to run a major part of a national government network, what the fuck am I doing working for a podunk telecoms outfit in Leeds who's knowledge of employment law only stretches to such parts they can break with plausible deniabilityI need to get a proper job....
Nope. Sajid Javid.Simon wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 7:18 pm It'll be Gove. Cummings leaked that Boris thought about putting him in post last year.
I've just tried to do this, but it just says that there's no other appts available at my 'chosen vaccination centre'. To check other centres I need to cancel and rebook. Sigh. I'm still 3 weeks away from my second (exactly 11 weeks to the hour between first and second appointments). Can't be arsed to risk cancelling that now.240PP wrote: Thu Jun 24, 2021 6:41 pmThey’ve changed it so you can check availability before cancelling now. Had the same thing when I tried it. Not worth changing when my second is 2 weeks away.Simon wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 9:13 pmI've just tried to do this, but it just says that there's no other appts available at my 'chosen vaccination centre'. No. Scraping the bottom of the barrel is a Johnson trademark.Simon wrote: Sat Jun 26, 2021 9:03 pm Admit it, you wouldn't have been surprised if it was Gove though, right?
Javid isn't too bad I suppose. No major skeletons in his closet anyway.
The replacement is actually a competent individual.
