Have you compared OBC consumption figures with actual brim-to-brim ? My previous cars have all been a bit optimistic.

Nah, not thought that far ahead to be honest, and not done that many long runs lately.

That's just the difference a working thermostat makes...
Is the 6 any longer geared than the 5? For instance a 6 speed Lupo GTI is a smidge shorter in top than the 5 speed.

would a quicker rack play havoc with non switchable esp?
Would poly bushing ruin a daily? It's been long time since I've driven anything thus equipped to recall what any negatives felt like.

Helped swap wheels over on the X5 and F150. We did an axle on the Ford before remembering that we should have removed the spacers as the off road rims are offset to sit flush in the first place. Then we agreed it was too much work, the sun was setting and it’s more in the redneck spirit to have them stick out.

IIRC from the last time we went through this, the ratios are identical, sixth is literally an overdrive. I'm 95% certain the rest of the ratios and the final drive are the same.

Sounds like a worthy mod, you might as well do it when you do the thermostat

3 - Series. Rear indicator and brake lights were throwing up warnings every time you started the car. Push the brakes and flick the indicator then they started to work. Been like that for a while but since it was a mild weekend decided to have a look at it yesterday. Removed the cluster to discover the earth pin had basically disintegrated exactly like this (library Picture)



Bit of internet digging suggested that it was a common issue. A suggested fix was to re-run a new earth cable on a spade connector to inside the bulb holder. Bit of modification needed to do this as i had to trim the internal track to fit the spade connector then i used a scotch lock to tap on to the earth and run it through an existing hole in the bulb connector. Sounds a bit pikey but it works. I had tried to remove the pin from the connector with the idea of soldering a connector on to it but it wasnt for coming out. Sealed it all up with a load of insulating tape on the cables to stop water ingress.

Megane: did some snow foam + Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax. First coating of the stuff so didn’t rinse off. Was a bit cold and so i can’t get it fully dry so in the morning it’ll probably look really smeared and matte and rubbish.

A2 headlight buzzer has started working again, locking wheel nut tool has gone awol
It's got a feck load of water in the battery tray, owners' forum suggests it's pooped vents behind the rear bumper. It's probably not connected, but it wasn't like it before a random bean shaker caught the back bumper t'other week

Insurance renewal time for the M235i. Current insurers Direct Line want £820 (excess £850!!!). Quick search on the interweb got it down to £502 from Admiral (excess £450). Sorted.

I have one partial blame claim against my name, so it doesn't help.

Went out to Westfield with my dad as I asked for a jacket for Xmas, supercharged it for the first time but didn’t see it hit 150kw as advertised in the app. Still 30 mins to recharge to 90% from 51%

Pushed the slider to 100% to get us to 50 mins total as Tesla apparently charge you money if you leave a charged car plugged in (rightfully so...).
Didn’t find a jacket I liked in the end so it was all a wasted trip
