I imagine most of you lot are too old to remember being young, dumb and full of, er, vim. I can, and I was a complete fucking moron at that age. Same as you all were....

I have a VERY distinct memory of getting off the bus with two mates - all of us about 19 - and one of my mates yapping away facing us. At the exact moment he turned to face his direction of travel, he walked straight into a parking meter. He was clearly in a lot of pain / winded, but this did not prevent it from being one of the funniest things I have ever seen. Other mate and I were even more incapacitated by uncontrollable laughter….

James and his giant peach

James was a delivery boy of amazing delicious fresh Indian food from one island to another. James loved peaches, the head chef told him to take a small peach and everyday he rowed out to the neighbouring island , for his good deed his peach would grow.
James on first day of work collected butter chicken and naan bread and off he rowed . He arrived at the island where Willy Wonka, the twits ,BFG and Matilda lived and offered them the delicious food. On returning to the boat sure enough his peach has grown.
Next day James picks up samosas,tandoori chicken and gulab jamuns and rows out to the same island and gives Willy Wonka,BFG, the Twits and Matilda their food.
Again James's peach has grown.
This went on for 5 more days and James is stoked about the size of his peach.
Next day James arrives at the island and finds the cooks are still asleep. He hurriedly wakes them. They haven't prepared anything and summon James to take yesterdays lentils to the island. James rushes to the island in time for their lunch. On returning to his boat he notices his peach hasn't grown. He turns to to Willy Wonka, BFG , the Twits and Matilda and asks them why today his peach hasn't grown. To which they replied: " because today you row old dahl".
