Come on, we’ve all seen a recovery truck and thought about it.

Come on, admit it, there's a little bit of redneck hiding inside all of usmik wrote: Wed May 31, 2023 10:16 am If I squint a bit, this looks kinda like @Nefarious
And as this is exactly the kinda shizzle he’d be involved in, I declare this to be Nef spotted whilst on vacation in the USA![]()

Re: Randomness
I’d rather fit a normal wheel personally, but the yoke doesn’t seems to get much love.
Re: Randomness
F1 wheels work because you never take your hand off it. Without having a steering rack that’s full lock f1 style after only half a turn of the wheel it’s a bit stupid, removes a huge amount of control- wonder how many accidents are caused (or near misses saved by electronic systems) by someone reaching for a bit of steering wheel that’s not there
Re: Randomness
Removing the gear selector and two thirds of the steering wheel was always a bit odd. Have there been many cases of the car going backwards when you wanted to go forwards yet?
Re: Randomness
Lexus took Tesla’s yoke and tried to make it better by completely disconnecting the rack from the car and making it a steer by wire system with infinitely adjustable steering ratios which change all the time so you never have to turn the wheel more than one rotation (so the same as a force feedback gaming wheel but also worse).

I remember when BMWs had something similar but just for low speed parking/manoeuvres but even that was judged crap.

How about not having a sig at all?
