I did see one of the 'protesters' doing a selfie with a policeman inside the capitol. That guy should be fired on the spot as a minimum.

If the BLM protestors through the summer had tried to break into the Capitol Building the police would have been breaking heads before they got anywhere close.

Well indeed, did an armed mob, not already storm a state goverment building a few months back and seemed to meet little or no resistance either? BLM protesters got teargassed for sitting peacefully so that Trump could get his photo taken outside the church?

I get what you're saying, and I agree where possible in terms of policing strategy, but once they're inside it's no longer the softer approach that's required.

Any word on the number of arrests? Looked to me like they all just started walking out once they got bored, free to leave.

Absolutely. It'd have been carnage. You only need to look back through the events of last year for evidence of that. America appears to be institutionally racist. Look how many black people are killed by the Police. It's disgraceful.
