I'm all good for WFH (and have been for a couple of years) but if/when schools and nurseries close I'm going to be able to do about 10% of the work I usually do. Maybe 20-30% if I spend every evening working.

Oldest is in reception so it's not like I can tell them to just bugger off and do their homework for a couple of hours. Wife isn't frontline NHS but needs to be on their network to get the data she needs so has to go into the office for that.

Manglement here still haven't made a formal announcement about WFH, but I'm doing all the prep to support it regardless.

We're all pissed off about it, and basically doing a go slow.

Going to be carnage if you're leveraged up.

Well they’re expanding mortuaries with temporary structures but not the hospitals. It’s going to get overwhelmed very quickly.

Incidentally - Are Greta and the other Young People going to hate us non-Young People (more) for taking our eye off the Climate Crisis to focus on the Covid stuff? :?

There has been a load of stuff from Greta about concentrating on climate change. Choose your timing, I appreciate the problem hasn’t gone away, but just hold on for a week or two...

It will be interesting how this is interpreted with regards to people still needing to work.

We are seeing lots of couples splitting the childcare responsibilities and catching up on work later in the evenings... we’ll see how sustainable this model is....

If she starts pointing out food shortages, illnesses etc are what to expect if we carry on consuming, particularly if the governments of the world bail out the rich again at the expense of the panic buying masses she might get some traction.

That would be Absolutely bang on had you not sold 80 percent of your holdings in January.
