Biden’s address on the other hand was statesmanlike, I’ve never really paid much attention to him but he was good.

I think I'd prefer the former, and hope that it's painful.

CNN reporting that the woman who was shot is now dead. Don't know if she was one of the mob or a staffer. RIP if the later.

The whole thing seems rather pathetic, the police/security whatever didn’t seem to put up much resistance and the mob just walked in and were effectively let loose to do whatever.
As to the protestor who got shot - well that’s the risk you take entering a government building unauthorised isn’t it...

It's only taken the Capitol being stormed by fuckwits, the senate being emergency evacuated, IEDs and guns being found and a woman dying as a direct result of Trumps incitements to violence....

...but Twitter have finally started deleting some of Trumps tweets.

Incredible to watch, but it is starting to feel like the walls are closing in on him finally. I suspect it's dawning on some of the people that fell in line behind him in all this nonsense that they might have backed the wrong horse.

It is amazing that the police efforts were so pathetic, it's not like Washington is a stranger to protests. It makes you wonder whether it was intentional, but if intentional, who it was on behalf of is hard to gauge. Trump might have wanted this to happen, but the only real winners I see when the dust settles are the Democrats.

Seeing a lot of celebrities commenting “if they were black they’d all be shot dead”, and I have to say I agree with them. For only one person to have been shot dead when they’ve stormed a government building is the sort of thing I’d expect to see here, not America, I’d have thought 10-20 dead minimum

I see reports if 5 deaths in total now.

Will be interesting to see Trump absolve himself of all responsibility for this....
