It was more that to maintain a fleet of 100,000 satellites (where they're constantly falling back to earth) is pretty much impossible - as I said, it would require more than 100 new satellites to be launched every single day, continually, to replace those falling back to earth

I've been following Starship quite closely for a few years now, and there are huge parts of it that simply don't make any sense

As you say, in-orbit, ship-to-ship refueling - no one even knows how many tankers will be needed (the fuel will boil away in orbit so as soon as a tanker is launched, it's fuel load starts reducing - no one really knows how quickly what will happen, how many tankers will need to be launched in what time window etc, so as to provide the moon-bound Starship with enough fuel)

Ship itself is 15 storeys tall - you're going to land that on the dusty, rocky surface of the moon? And it won't tip over, or be off vertical?

And how are you going to unload the proposed 100 tonnes of cargo? (From that 15 storey tall rocket)

And that's assuming all that cargo, stacked vertically has been done so perfectly so it didn't send the rocket off on a tangent when launched

And you could slow that whole thing without any atmosphere enough to land it in the first place?

And in landing, the rockets didn't just dig a huge hole in the lunar surface?

And it still has enough fuel left over to re-launch (without drowning itself in lunar dust and rock) and head back to earth?

I see there is going to be a recall of Model 3s and Model Ys built in about a 3-year period due to the headlights being too bright. It's been obvious for a while that they're too bright - I assumed they were simply badly aimed but no. Only a US recall so far. But the recall isn't happening yet because Tesla don't have a fix. I can think of one: remove the cars with illegally bright headlights from the roads today and give each owner a replacement car to drive until they're fixed. Why should every other driver have to suffer at night?

Surely you could just get a can of Halfords headlight tint spray and give them a blow over

There's also an investigation on the front suspension on 1.2 million Teslas - the front lower balljoint has a sudden failure where it completely detaches causing a loss of control. Quite scary.
The headlight thing surprises me as I've always thought they're piss poor. They're like 10% better than halogens but they all had an issue where they would lose calibration and drift off, but that seems to be fixed with an update a few years ago.
