As Mito says, if there’s only a finite number of licenses/space for satellites and Spack x buys up most of them with their limitless magic money tree (whether they use them or not), then a competitor would have to go via them to buy enough licenses to make a viable business. Spack X controls the market.

It was more that to maintain a fleet of 100,000 satellites (where they're constantly falling back to earth) is pretty much impossible - as I said, it would require more than 100 new satellites to be launched every single day, continually, to replace those falling back to earth

A bit like his in-space refuelling 'plans' with have been charitably described by industry experts as 'near impossible' and less charitably described as about as likely as a million teslabots by the end of 2026, FSD by the end of 2016/2018/2019/repeat till fade, etc etc.

Still waiting on that Mk2 Tesla Roadster announced, er 2017, with 10,000 to be on the road in 2020 and like cold fusion, every year it's just two years away.

Doesn’t the space refuelling plan have to work for NASA to have any chance of sending people to the moon again?
I can’t tell at this point who the bigger cork in the bottle is between SpaceX, Blue Origin or Boeing. They all seem equally in the shit
