The lure of free money is immensely powerful, 'twas ever thus.

Peeple does gone get stoopid.

Particularly if the item you intend to destroy is very hard to destroy. Funny on so many levels.

Isnt investing in anything an avenue to make money? The 3 or 4 folk here dismissing it make me chuckle.

I have no issue investing in things. I do have morals though and think proof of work schemes are wrong.

Basic question for you Broccers - would you invest in a company you fundamentally disagree with if it made you some money?

‘Investing’ is the word I’d question. Do you consider it an investment when you go to the bookies’?

I think the lines between gambling and investing are blurred at the best of times, based on perceived level of risk. Certainly crypto is closer to the gambling end of the spectrum though!

Tbf on the list of corporate shitshows and dubious morals, wasting electricity to make a buck seems like a more minor transgression

Ha, that's one way to learn about taking backups. From a fucking computer engineer no less. What a tool.

Edit: Also, HDDs are robust, but not being covered in garbage, rained on, and being packed down repeatedly robust - he's on a hiding to fucking nowhere, there's almost no chance that HDD has survived - the platters will almost certainly be fucked. So further evidence he's not a very good computer engineer.....

I'm very interested in web3 and the meta other life. For many in the future this may well be their main way of living. Maybe you can have a taller better looking avatar in the virtual world? I could be more agreeable?

My cat doesn't want to be taller or better looking. She already has to fend off the males.

You're obviously much cleverer than me then, because I can't see anything about web3 or any other life - it just looks like Airbnb with crypto. Can you help explain it?
