I'm starting to feel like a second class citizen up here without any hint of a jag yet.

That's because all the Jags rot to dust up your way apparently. ;)

I am strongly considering selling the XF. I find it complements a Boxster nicely.

Define shift in the demographics of the (small numbers of) people being admitted to hospital with ‘Rona. It’s unvaccinated working age people who are out at work and exposed (e.g. 40-something taxi drivers). Vaccines are good. Mixing with other people is still bad.

I'm glad you hit that ball I tee'd up for you there!

Yeah, I do wonder what the next couple of months is going to look like as restrictions ease.

Judging by some of the parks round Milton Keynes yesterday, a spike... :(

Hopefully it won’t be bad enough to trigger fresh restrictions though.

I believe (depending on what sources you read) that the UK hit herd immunity on Monday/Tuesday.

I've gone back to my initial thinking that this is completely over the top reaction wise. It's embarrassing so they have to keep going with the charade.

Be specific, not everyone is reading the exact same articles.

I heard that but don't buy it.

Apparently we have 55% of the population with antibodies. That isn't herd immunity. This article suggests at least 70% immunity is needed to reach herd immunity. Possibly more.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but hopefully not, especially given the percentage of most vulnerable who have now been vaccinated.

The UCL model claims over 70% immunity now but we all know how accurate those models are.

It’s less about how much of the population and more about who. A lot of those vaccinated are elderly and not in the herd, they live in a private stable and seldom emerge because it’s chilly. We need more of those who are out in the fields to get the vaccine to really say the herd is immune.

Still seems mental that everyone else in my household who’s spent a huge proportion of the year sat inside not coming into contact with anyone has been vaccinated, yet 40 year old me who’s been working the whole way though probably won’t get one for at least another month.

I understand the reasons, it just feels a bit daft 🤣

Both me (40) and the missus (42) just got our texts, I'm going to stagger them just in case we feel rough.

My brother only could book his yesterday (45) and he lives around corner. And the appt isn't for another couple of weeks.

I'm 43 so imagine it'll be mid May before I get arm pricked.

Don't forget to book it for a Sunday/Monday. If you're feeling rough enough you can arrange it so that you miss most of a week of work. Never book it for a Thursday/Friday as you don't want to spoil a perfectly good weekend.

Just had my text today, booked for first week in May. Annoying that the 2nd jab is a different location though, fifteen miles away.
