Had to go back a while in the Google streetview to find an image that wasn't obscured but it's still always graffitied now. Probably not helped by being at the end of a layby

Pretty random, just some old rover wheels, but the 5 stud pretend covers over 4 stud wheels were a weird design choice. Maybe trying to make them appear more like the larger mercs and BMWs which were all 5 stud by then?

Odd quantities often look better than even quantities when it comes to aesthetic choices, so five could be a more pleasing design to the eye.

Rocket assisted very-short/zero length launch/landing systems are a bonkers idea.
I think the best one is the one that the US tried for Operation Credible Sport, which was intended to allow a C130 to land within the footprint of a football stadium in Tehran.
