It already seems to have burned itself out. No one killed, pictures of missiles that looked like they’ve hit the ground but not actually exploded. Almost like Iran have made a big show of attacking the US in retaliation for the domestic news but doing as little damage as possible. And they’re already saying it’s over now unless the US attack us again.

I don’t understand the sanction situation. Seems like every few months Trump is applying the harshest sanctions on Iran yet then they find a way to apply more of them? Surely they’re not all that harsh if they can keep applying more of them...

No, to make that point he would have had to have chosen a missile known for being poor which the V2 was far from. He was trying to compare crap with crap regardless of era.

This is what I was going for.
We live in a time where you can buy a toy drone for a few hundred quid which has gps accuracy to a few inches. Iran who have had a ban on nuclear weapons have been focused on making missiles to hit Israel with for all these years yet they couldn’t hit a closer target accurately. I think 4 of them didn’t even launch and some of those that did didn’t even explode. Laughable. As it is I’d let them build the nuclear weapons as they will probably nuke themselves

I was following on Twitter and it seemed like the state owned news broadcasters were claiming that they fired upwards of 30 missiles and completely destroyed the Asad base. Then they started posting pictures of large missile fireballs but people on Twitter backwards searched them and found out they were images from previous conflicts in the Middle East

They’re probably more of a joke than North Korea.

They sent some shit ones over so it looked like they were doing something, but not enough for anyone to retaliate.

I like the conspiracy theory that the current leader of Iran was fearful that Solaymani (however it’s spelled...) was getting too powerful and was even more of a nutter than him so either a) co-ordinated his assassination or b) encouraged him to mess with the US embassy in the hope of getting America to assassinate him.

Let’s be honest the whole thing has a whiff of shit about it.

So the US are now “confident” that plane was actually downed by a missile? It did seem like one hell of a coincidence at the time...

Now, I’m not saying I actually believe this myself, but I find myself in a position of having to choose whose propaganda to believe: USA or Iran.

This plane fell out of the sky a couple of hours after the missile launches. It was taking off from Iran’s busiest airport, on a normal flight path, with full tower clearance and ATC contact, plus a fully working transponder squawking a civilian code, flying a normal, authorised flight route. How feasible is it that Iran’s military are so incompetent that this aircraft became a target?

Who benefits from the story that it was shot down by an anti-aircraft missile? The US and a US corporation.

The two “unconfirmed” videos: the one of the supposed missile strike was lucky, wasn’t it? Guy having a smoke in his garden and filming the sky for no apparent reason...

The whole thing stinks to me. I don’t know what to believe but I feel like we’re all being fed bullshit.
